Dev Log #8 - Final release!
RELEASE! – William W
Release day is upon us! Throughout the 12 weeks we spent developing the game, we have:
- A protagonist with 4 companion characters
- A working dialogue system with a fully written prologue
- A full art direction for worldbuilding
- A wholly unique battle system
- One working enemy
- Tier 2 abilities for two companion characters
- Squashed nearly 100 bugs during development, and
- Added around 40 changes in relation to the QOL experience!
In the past week, we have done 30+ pushes alone to the main game. These are all QOL enhancements, bugfixes, UI upgrades, and more pertaining to make the current experience as best as can be.
We’re still squashing bugs at the time of writing this blog post, however we consider the game to be in a very playable state!
The Sound of Bugs - Blake H
With sound came bugs, some lost eardums, others their sanity.
However we prevailed, successfully implementing sound and sweeping large chunks of dead bugs out the door. Allowing us to be on time for releasing a prologue demo/prototype at v1.0 before 11:59pm on the 25/08/2024.
Bloody good effort for 12 weeks!
